A succinct review of the life and work of M.M. Noah
This book serves as a good introduction to the life of Morecai Manuel Noah, however the reader should bear in mind that the author's stated purpose is that his book serve as evidence of Jewish contributions to America. As such, it paints the most positive and least controversial picture of this wonderfully quirky , opinionated man. The reader ought not accept this as the final word, nor as a complete picture. In addition to reading Noah's actual works, many of which are available in this archive, one ought to read other versions of Noah's biography.
Nevertheless, this book is a great resource for those studying either M.M. Noah himself or Jewish American history in general.
